About
My name is Tim Kennedy. My practice is focused on counseling entrepreneurs, start-ups, and established businesses on all legal and business related matters.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, emphasis in Finance, from Santa Clara University in 1996 and a law degree from Santa Clara University’s School of Law in 2008. In between, I spent nearly ten years working first as a Corporate Financial Analyst for a financial asset management firm in the Bay Area, then as a Financial Analyst and Business and Systems Analyst for a hardware engineering start up. I gained a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on how to manage both large and small companies. Whether it is debits and credits, business and marketing plans, CRM systems, or sales forecasting and revenue recognition, I understand the concept and speak the language.
I enjoy rolling up my sleeves. During my time working for companies in Silicon Valley, I was known as the go-to guy who would put out fires. No matter what problems arose (and they always did), I did whatever it took to get the company through the challenge. Not sure which business entity to choose? I can explain your options and help you decide. Having difficulty interpreting that lease? I can help translate. Need to understand your profitability from an individual product perspective? I’ve provided this type of analysis.
What are your fires? If you need help with them, give me a call. Remember, your initial consultation is FREE. The downside is minimal, but the upside is you may find in me a team member who can help you reduce your stress and cross those problems off your list.
